Allan Fine has spent more than three decades in strategy and business development within the health care industry working with Boards of Directors and executive teams on strategic, operational, financial and governance issues. His experience ranges in working with providers, managed care organizations, life science companies and start-up/entrepreneurial ventures. Currently, he is Senior Vice President and Chief Strategy & Operations Officer with The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary (NYEE) where he is charged with developing and implementing the institution’s long range plan to promote its mission related to patient care delivery, research and education. He also has operational responsibility for much of the hospital’s clinical and non-clinical areas.

Most recently, Allan was managing director with Healthios, Inc., a merchant banking boutique specializing exclusively in the global health care industry, where he was sector leader for the firm’s cardiology practice. Previously, he held senior positions at Navigant Consulting, Ernst & Young, Quorum Health Resources and Rush Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center (Rush Contract Care). A well-established author and editor, Allan has penned numerous books, journals and newsletters on topics related to his fields of expertise. He also has authored more than 60 articles in national trade journals and health care publications.

Allan received his MBA in Health Care Administration from Bernard M. Baruch College – Mount Sinai School of Medicine at the City University of New York and his Bachelors in Marketing from Temple University in Philadelphia. Allan is a frequent speaker at national and regional health care conferences, and a former adjunct faculty member in multiple graduate programs in health care management.
