Ed Michael Reggie serves as Managing Director of Future Factory, an investment holding company. He has served as a board member and advisor to companies involved in medical technology, clinical research and healthcare payment systems. He serves on the Board of the New Orleans BioInnovation Center, a wet lab incubator and a Good Manufacturing Practices laboratory for stem cell, vector and DNA production.
Ed Michael has held numerous faculty and ad hoc appointments at Tulane University and received the University’s 2004 Champion of Public Health Award. In addition, he has served as the Chief Executive Officer of Regent Health System, a rural hospital chain. He was a founding board member of the Louisiana Health Care Commission and the Louisiana Association of Health Plans. He served on the board of the American Association of PPOs.
Ed Michael received his Master of Business Administration degree from the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University. He has served as a healthcare examiner in Cuba, Syria, Jordan, Israel and the Palestinian territories on behalf of the Human Rights Project in Washington, D.C., and as a delegate on the Academy of International Health Studies trade missions to Rome and Hong Kong. In addition, Ed Michael supports micro-lending initiatives in the third world through his roles as Treasurer and Trustee of Freedom from Hunger and Guarantor of MicroCredit Enterprises, both based in northern California.
